Matra Building Corp was founded in 1995 by Anthony J Matra.

In his youth, Anthony apprenticed in the residential construction industry. He learned skills from old world craftsmen, whose knowledge predated the days of cordless drills and air nailers. He also gained an understanding of the value of quality, attention to detail and craftsmanship.

While continuing to work, Anthony attended and received a Bachelor Degree from Pace University's Lubin School of Business. Two years after graduation, he became the site manager for a well-known residential construction company in northern Westchester County in New York. His duties encompassed working with suppliers, trades people, engineers, architects, and future homeowners. It was where he learned how to manage and balance all of the processes and people required to complete a successful construction project.

In 1995, Anthony decided to venture out on his own and establish Matra Building Corp. It began as a residential renovation and remodeling company that soon has grown to include custom home building. Relying on his education and experience, Anthony ensures the success of each of his construction projects. Today, Matra Building Corp embodies the principles of the old world craftsmanship, while using modern construction techniques to build new homes.

In 2012, Anthony proudly accepted his son, Rocco, as a partner to further the tradition of excellence in home building at Matra Building Corp.
